They have to be strong and robust so as not to break during application.

They must also anchor well in the various substrates.

Because there are many different cases, dowels are made from various plastics and they have different pins.

There are many lengths in stock: 7-9-11-12-14-16-18-20-22-26cm are among the most common.

The right length of plastic dowels to be chosen has to do with the thickness of the insulation panel, the substrate, the existence of old plasters, etc.

Their number per m2 has to do with the type of insulation, the height of the building and their distance from the corners.
