Swellable waterstops are used for the waterproofing of underground, construction joints.
The waterstop should be centrally placed and adequately covered by concrete in order to avoid expansion failure.
Generally there are two types: those who contain bentonite and those you contain pure polymers.
PVC waterstops on the other hand, can be placed both centrally and externally and they can be used both for construction and expansion joints.
